Matheson Dome
Location
Walking through a linking corridor from the Reid Room you will come to the Matheson Dome. Named after the Architect Robert Matheson (1808-1877), it was built in 1869 and is a replica of the larger Dome in the adjoining New Register House. Both Domes are distinctive because of the ironwork railings that surround the central circular areas.Facilities
This room has 39 search places and like the Reid room can be booked by phone, fax, email or in person. Full details of how to book are available by visiting our Contact page. In due course places here will be bookable online via this website. There is a microfiche/film reader which can be used to view film or fiche if the digitised image is of a very poor quality. A supervisor will be in the Matheson Dome at all times who will be able to give you help and advice. You will also be able to pay for copies and book search places here.
Floor plan
From the Matheson Dome if you continue through the glass doors to the Garden area and follow the path you will come to the Dundas Room, Café and Seminar facility.
